Not alone

Have you ever suddenly got the shivers, felt an involuntary shudder? Hairs all a-standing and prickling. And you know you're not alone? My current apartment is the only one I've lived in and not seen things. Felt? Sure. Seen? Thank God, none.

Asians have plenty of places steeped in the supernatural. The Indonesians are famous for their bomohs. Thai black magic has it's own reputation as well. My Dad, eons ago, used to be a staunch R Catholic. He's mellowed throughout the years and now he's quite comfortable in his (religous) skin. And that spirits do co-exist with us.

But my Mom. Oh, my Mom's side. The stories I could tell you. The stories I was told when I was older. And I suspect it runs only on the female side. Although my sister's been spared sightings - lucky bugger that she is.

Why do I bring this up? Because I just had a shudder episode. It's funny how you think you're alone and suddenly the knowledge wells up in you that... hullo? you're not?

Yes, I've learnt to deal with it.
