Of Men, Manners and Mincing Idiot Women.

Found this post and offered a comment. Went back a while later only to find that an all out war of words had erupted.

singabloodypore found an article entitled Singapore girls - a challenge to love. And I have two things to say about this article.

1 - the women
The article's right about Singaporean women, to some extent. I've seen these women in action, living for their next branded handbag or shoes, shopping like there's no tommorow, mercenary in their pursuit of a man that can give them all the Cs to their little monied hearts content.

Look, if you're going to be so calculative in your search for their perfect Sugar Daddy, it's no wonder that the men are going to places like Vietnam, China, Indonesia and Malaysia for their women.

There is a REASON why I have so few female friends. If you act all whiney, simpering, and try to play up the helpless-damsel-in-distress shit act with the view to sap some poor guy's money, I have ZERO tolerance for you.

2 - the men
Singapore, more than any other asian country I know of, has thrown open the doors to women. Meritocracy has ALWAYS been the name of the game. It's akin to what the West saw with the Feminist movement (but without the vitrol, hyperbole & bra-burning).

More than ever, women would like to be your partner. Get with the program. You may have been your family's pride and joy, but if you cannot treat a woman like a Lady, I'm not going to give you the respect I would give Man.

Some people commented in singabloodypore's blog about how asian women here blasted local men in an attempt to try and covince themselves that they were not SPGs.

Listen you. YES you - the one with the quick mouth about SPGs. Can you step up to the plate?
- I'd like a man who processes fast &with whom I can have a decent conversation with
- I'd like a man that can treat a woman right ( & I don't mean stuff like flowers every day)
- I'd like a man that doesn't expect women to be subservient to him.
- I'd like a man who understands consideration; both giving & accepting it graciously.
- I'd like a man who knows what it takes to wear the pants around the house.
If you can do all that, I'd date you in a heartbeat!

But somehow I doubt you'd make the cut.
