One small footstep for Fiona (and the Alien series)

To-day is the last day of work for my Work Buddy, before he goes in to serve his NS next week.

I have achieved something.
I have introduced him to the quadrilogy that is the Alien series.

Alien, the story that began in 1979 with an incredibly young Sigourney Weaver (and directed by Ridley Scott no less), which was continued in Aliens and Aliens3, and culminating in Alien Resurrection.

An entirely new generation, I hope, has discovered anopther cult favourite. And it IS incredible. When you watch the movies - the technology, the artwork, the acting - it becomes a sort of unofficial guide on how everything has developed from 1979 right up until 1997. That's almost 20 years of film making.

I don't know of any other series that developed such a cult following, or developed such an entertaining storyline, or actually kept an audience enthralled or showcased movie making throughout the years. Most bomb out at the bloody 2nd sequel, let alone go on to make 4 of'em.

Absolutely fucking brilliant!

I love all 4 - even Alien3, which I thought brough a dark, brooding, and above all, primitively human aspect to it all.

But I'm stuck between 2 and 4, those are my 2 favs and I can't decide between'em!
