I did it. I finally gave in, got some help, and signed up for a gmail account. Yes, I have succumbed. Many thanks to Leland, who was gracious enough to allow me 3 invites.

it always amuses me, to see how people resist technology like it's the big bad wolf.:)
I'd say - run with it! or risk being many steps behind when others are streaking ahead. See how some of the old folks are using handphones like they're so paranoid that pressing a button more than necessary detonates a hand-held bomb.
yes, but i didn't *need* it urgently. i've passed on previous invites. i have 4 pop accounts : 1 for friends, 1 for 'work', 1 for spam and 1 for blogging. need should match want, in my own opnion. and i try and live it every day.
now i have 5. with big ass storage space for mails.
oh well.
well i have about 4 gmail acounts. i wish i had know i could have given them to you. i have ahout 100 invitations to give out. they keep multiplying!
haha! i'll have to drop you an email some time! i had a colleague or two (or 4, actually) who didn't even know gmail existed and are now *extremely jealous.
