I requested for my leave in 2 weeks. The MasterChief will be back in town. Explained why I couldn't just take a single day... blah blah blah... after about an hour, the supervisor came over and asked why I was seeing someone not based in Singapore. As if it was any of his business.

When I answered, there was a long and pregnant pause. Then came *The Question*. "He's not Singaporean?"

For someone from an MNC background, who's worked with expats as bosses & colleagues, and even dated some of these buggers (expats, not ex bosses) this question really caught me offguard.

What frickin' difference does it make?
