War of the Worlds

Caught the newest Tom Cruise blockbuster tonight.

Well..... I say blockbuster because it's clearly a summer-movie type do, and it's sure to make millions at the boxoffice..... but I went away with a very unsatisfied feeling. Some of the movie effects were really good. But then again, it IS a Spielberg. What would a Spielberg movie be without the CGI and the big explosions?

I'm sure you'll catch it. And you'll probably love it too. But from the time the movie ended, until I got home, me and my bud J were dissecting the movie non-stop. That's about 30mins of discussion. This isn't a mind-numbing, intellect-browsing movie, mind you. There are gaps galore! But I shan't spoil it for you here.


Just don't expect too much in the way of plot, eh?
