OH yes - NightWatch opened in SG to-day.

Hardcore fantasy addict that I am, I went to catch the 9.45PM show after work. What a rush! Literally! Logged off at 9PM, got out by 9.15PM, rushed through dinner, missed the first 10 minutes.

But bloody hell - well worth the butt-itching wait of the last one month.

If you're expecting the typical Hollywood type explosions-galore-sleek-hero type of movie, you're in for a very bad surprise. The guys who did this movie were creative, the movie trotted along rather nicely, the special effects (on a measly 5 million dollar budget) were highly effective and the movie was quite, quite enjoyable. You're forced to think about what happens.... the sheer novelty! :)

J and I were discussing the movie as we were walking out and both of us agree. When you want something badly enough and you *believe* it..... your final product comes out well worth it. NightWatch came across as an art film for fantasy/scifi addicts and so much more watchable than the usual tripe that's churned out these days.


Highly recommended - parts II and III akan datang!
