Having a pet is just like having a child. I knew that when I had Ben Bones." Elsie, a Saint Bernard puppy, apparently had the blade between her esophagus and stomach for about four days before it was removed earlier this week in a 2-hour operation. The puppy has an 8-inch scar, but is fine and back with her family. And the knife is back in Scarola's kitchen, albeit this time wrapped in a towel and placed in a cabinet atop the refrigerator."
4 days. Damn. If you've ever owned a cat or a dog, you would know something is amiss. Your pet would have been in pain and been feeling miserable. Especially if you know your pet has a penchant for swallowing things. And when an animal feels so poorly, the first thing is they're off their food. Not want to play. Act listless. As a responsible pet owner, you WOULD know.
Why did you bloody wait 4 days?
