Netiquette

I have an open message on netiquette.

When you're on the internet, you do not assume people know, appreciate, or understand you. Like strangers in a bar, you feel people out, you give them the benefit of the doubt, and you take things at FACE LEVEL. Expecting the nuances of body language to come through in a measly text paragraph is, well, not anchored in reality.

If you don't work that way, that's fine. But *I* do. And my blog, my rules.

Look at it this way - it's like my Fucktard rant. You don't take liberties, you don't assume. And don't come over all defensive when people "don't get" your sense of humour.

The internet is an INTERNATIONAL meeting place.


Try and bear that in mind?
