No, I'm not at work to-day.

Woke up, still tired, with a stiff body, and said fuck it. I'll go in tomorrow. I'll a tad grouchy because I cannot believe how silly it was not to plan manpower. You know staff are clearing leave (2 people, out of 4 who are trained to clear emails!!), you know the email volume will shoot up, you know our company standard is a acknowledgement in 24 hours.

Did you think those emails would be answered by themselves?

I have had to deal with an averange of 150 emails every day, since Tuesday, with another 100+ coming in. My inbox was stuck at the 200 mark for three straight days. I worked like a demon and made sure I left on the dot. Which, in hindsight, was a good call because they will pay me OT for the work done tomorrow. Instead of me working late every day for fucking free.


Argh!
