I must confess - I have not read a single Harry Potter book.
But as movies goes, they're quite enjoyable! Had HP1 and 2, which is now in J's hands. And I've just got HP3. All on VCD. We're boning up, you might say.
Why the fuss, one might ask? Because HP4 opens this Thur and I've got tix for Fri! I love reading or watching things in sequence. And I'm quite anal about collecting. Have the Aliens series - all 4 movie covers had to match and I finally stumbled on the complete set after searching on and off for 3 years. whoohoo! The DiscWorld series, which WAS a matching set of book covers on all my books until they released NightWatch, which had a different cover, and which pissed me off quite a bit. Same with my David Eddings sets (Mallorean & Belgariad; Tumuli and Elenium). The DUNE series. The world of Pern. And not forgetting Xanth. And CS Lewis's beloved Narnia series, which I've just bought (again) and is still in it's plastic wrapping. So many worlds! So many different stories to immerse myself in.
Unlike most people, I like to go back and visit my books and movies from time to time. To say hullo and see how they're doing. To read the story, savor the exciting parts and skim through the slow moments. Letting the mind's eye travel once more. Relive the story again.

I love reading. When I read a book I usually re-read it a couple years later and it's like a whole new story all over again.
well, the only fiction i read is mostly stephen king...that blog map of yers is really interesting
if you were REALLY anal, you'd be compelled to read the books first! like me: i'm so anal i never read the LOTR trilogy because i decided it was imperative to read The Hobbit first, and never managed to finish that, so i never got to the trilogy and thus can never see the movies!!! (sick, sad life)

squarepeg - Tolkien wrote a lot of things. I have read the hobbit and the silmarian (sp). As for the HP books..... well, I might, one of these days. But not right now. I like my fantasy a little more complicated.
