yay!

I've seen Narnia! And it was great!

Some people may say the books are better. And the entire series are damned good stories. But I think the movie, in some way I cannot define, has fleshed out the time and age of the story. A whole slew of unknowns, apart from Tilda Swinton (read : Brit talents) but I thought it was great! I cannot gush enough. I've gotten the books back from J and I shall have another go at them.

Speaking of which, the books are clearly written for children of another era. Engaging, but simple and short. But the movie, with it's etheral musice score, soaring landscapes, and very adult conversations, is not exactly kiddie fare.
