Did the interview.
Lasted all of 30 minutes.
I may not make it through :o

Damn. French MNC hires *very* talented people.

If I make it, cool.
If not, all's fair, eh?
They pay top dollar and they hire the best.
Spoke to HR lady on my way out. Asked about salary range as I had thought it was a manager's post initially, from the recruiter . And guess what? Indicated salary not a problem. If they pay what I asked, I would be.... amazed. Well and truly amazed.

Something interesting - the receptionist at french MNC is a lady who used to be in one of my telemarketing teams. This is from approx 5 years back. And as I walked in, she looked up, cracked a huge smile, and cried my name. I was taken aback. After all this time?

We chatted for a bit, and apparently, I made a bigger impression that I thought I did.

It brought back a memory of Kian, who worked for me at the Shang. I remember bemoaning the fact that no matter what I did, what I tried, who I spoke to, what stats I produced..... I didn't make a dent in the customer service industry here. Same'ol, same'ol. And I was frustrated.

Kian then pipped up. His comment? Perhaps you shouldn't think of the effort you're making in general. But instead focus on the people who's lives you've touched and changed. He said that because he'd felt he'd learnt a lot from working with me in 2 comapnies, and I was touched.

And he was apparently right. wow.
