Idle thoughts

I've turned this job down.

I am a little surprised myself.... but there were a number of factors that weighed heavily against taking it. And at this point in my life, even if they paid me more than my current "holiday" job, I'd prolly spend it all on taxi fare anyways. It is a long way by bus and train. And if I wanted the aggravation of having Microsoft as a client, I'd have stuck to one of my old jobs. I know how those buggers work.

Trying to schedule another interview with a french MNC; this one has my interest much more! And from what the recruitor mentioned, my experience in the Carlson Mktg Grp and the Shangri-La will prove almost a perfect match. But we will see. Competition is tough, and I've been out of corporate for almost 2 years now. And I'd have to be groomed. Geez. I cannot remember when I last wore a suit for work. lol.

On top of that, I've been a complete doofus and miscalculated my MasterChief's schedule. I might be in the US as early as a years' time..... which makes looking for a proper job a little guilty. I don't want to find great work, then have to leave in the middle of settling down with good staff. But if I don't, I'll have very little money to take into the US, considering the current currency conversation rates. To boot, if I don't find something I like by mid year, I'll have to seriously consider staying in my current part time one.

Decisions, decisions. When did life get so complicated?
