I read this article with a tinge of regret.
Forcing US soldiers to continue their tour of duty when all they dream of is home, is to be regretted. I don't feel the twinge on their behalf, but I do feel for their families, who worry and fear for their loved ones' safety.
Why, you ask? Why do I feel this, when I am Singaporean? When Singaporean men are forced into national service? Because the MasterChief should have reached Bahrain by now and will port out of there. And like I told him, I worry for him.
Oh, I know he will be all right *crosses fingers* and we're both waiting for the day when he retires (again!) and we'll have the rest of our lives together. But it doesn't stop one from worrying.
Yes, I know I'm a worry-wart. Can't help it.
