WTF - really shot?

This is hard to believe.

A Canadian woman who went out dancing did not notice she'd been shot in the chest until she was back home in bed. Police say the victim, in her 20s, left a club in Oshawa, Ontario, unaware of anything wrong but later had trouble sleeping.

She eventually noticed she was bleeding from the chest and went to hospital, reports the Winnipeg Sun. Police say she is in good shape and was able to walk in to the hospital.

Investigators are trying to trace back the night's events to pin down where the woman was when she was shot. "It's not like in the movies where you get shot and you fall down," said Durham police Duty Insp. Dave Morrissey. "You could get hit by a small-calibre bullet and not know it."

Yes. Right. Being shot by a small calibre bullet is less than being bitten by a bite-me fly. So the bleeding was just.... oh... dripping bodily fluids. Happens all the time!

Bloody hell. If a mozzie bites me viciously, I feel it. Perhaps not everyone would. But I'm pretty darned sure that a bullet wouldn't be missed! c'mon.... someone... anyone! Those of you who've handled guns before, tell me this isn't true!


Where's Trevor when I need him. lol. There's an expert on guns if ever I saw one.

"Falling down a flight of stairs is probably a lot more painful than being shot with a small caliber like a .22 asssuming it doesn't hit a nerver bundle and that it isn't a hollow point round. A standard .22 long rifle bullet is tiny and people have been shot more than 20 times with such bullets and survived with full recovery. It depends where the bullet penetrates and how big a tear it makes going through the body. "

I'm taking his word for it. Perhaps the woman really was so drunk that she didn't feel a damned thing, weird as it sounds......
