Good food, good company, bad smells.

Ah - a reprieve.

A few SMSes exchanged and Bernie and I are up for dinner at the venerable Charlie's Corner. Which was a damned good break for me. Early dinner, after to-day's early morning shift, and it's an early night for me this evening. Wonderful evening, cheerful company and a lazy walk back to the bus stop for the ride home.

Note to self :
As an old lady, I will maintain my current excellent state of grooming.

There was one, who walked in front of Bernie and I to get a seat on the bus stop bench. A smell wafted after her. The kind of smell men joke about, women dread, and kitties disdain.

The smell of..... fish.

Bernie wasn't too sure, but the smell wafted the moment she walked by, continued as she sat beside us, and only vanished when she boarded a bus we refused to take. Bernie was a kind soul and thought it was perhaps the smell of stale cooking.

But we waited for the next bus anyways.
