Midnight shift

Last night's shift was chok-a-block with weirdos who don't deserve to drive.

A little background, eh? Weekend and overnight shifts see staff from all 3 sections congregrate in one island of terminals. One from life insurance (me!), one from general insurance, and one from the benefits sections. All 3 of us, though, had calls involving idiots and cars.

One guy said he had a flat tyre. Service provider (SP) called back later to say nope! it's an accident! So I spoke to the guy.

Sir? SP called and said you were involved in an accident?
No, I just need someone to help me fix my tyre.
What happened to your tyre, Sir?
The rims have bent and shredded the tyre.
Go on, Sir, what happened to the rims?
They hit the kerb.
I see. And how did rims hit the kerb?
I crashed into the sidewalk.

????????
!!!!!!!!!!!
Classic WTF moment.

Then there was this other guy who called complaining that the SP we assigned was too expensive. So I spoke to SP. Turns out this guy had a modified car with a super low body kit, as reported by the towtruck driver. Checked with my colleague and told her what happened. And she was Eh?? I asked this idiot what kind of car and he told me normal car! Fucker! Did he think we would not find out? You can't cheat us.

Last prime dickwad candidate called in on a car booking schedule for 3.30am to 4.30am. The car wasn't at it's assigned spot but heck, there are close to 70 car sharing locations, we're only suppsoed to activate the bookings, and we sure as hell can't view the cameras.

This guy was so mean, he screwed my colleague up and down, abusive and foul, he also sounded drunk, or high. Me and S had gathered around to hear the call log and to offer sympathy. What a dickhead. Important appointment, my ass! I cannot afford to miss it! What kind of service is this? How stupid are you? he said to my colleague.

Eh? Important appointment? To take place from 3.30 to 4.30 in the morning?? What kind of appointment would that be, huh huh huh? We 3 ladies on shift concluded it must have been for a hooker. hahaha.

Strangely, though, I enjoy the night shift. All is quiet. You're on your own to potter around and muddle through calls. And I have to confess that the early morning bus ride home is quite enjoyable.

Oh well, one more midnight shift this Sat!
