It got real hot over the last few weeks. But to-day it finally rained.
I stopped to watch the clouds overhead as I walked across to get some stuff from the neighbourhood shops. Saw very low, very grey clouds rush towards each other. How awesome is that? Like trains on a collision course. But I got lucky - thunderstorm only released it's deluge just as I reached the safety of my block, after making my rounds. Holy shit, what a downpour. Just had to stop for a few minutes, to watch from a sheltered area, the pounding rain, the clearly visible sheets of water as the land got drenched.
I love watching rain fall. I love the smell of clean air. I love that crisp, fresh breeze that follows when the clouds have given up their loads and the storm settles down into a steady drizzle. For some reason, especially after a series of hot scorching days, I feel like rejuevenation is just around the corner.
If it continues like this, I will spend the next 2 days in bed. :)
