WTF - for the millions of protestors

I really don't understand this.

Been reading and keeping quiet about it because it's not my country - every single sovereign nation has it's own way of doing things. But this is....
unfathomable.

If you are an illegal in someone's country, that means you are there unlawfully, yes? So what gives you the right to protest against this? Your very presence is an illegal act.

They should try and do this in Singapore.

Fiona, I found your blogs searching 'next blog'. Nice. Good I found your comment on illegals as I am of the same mind set. We have a common thread that there is are legal processes to join US here. When you cut out the 'legal' part of this process, it truly is 'illegal'. You nailed it. Jeff
PS> I love Fiona, a good Scottish name, yes?

Hey Jeff, welcome! And thank you for stopping to say hullo :)

Absolutely, I am puzzled as to why nothing to being done about it. A constitution is for a country's CITIZENS.

PS - in my case, it's Irish!

I think the problem in America is G.W. Bush. Because of his policies the illegals believe it is there right to be there. He is openly talking about giving them all legal status. What better way to get alot of illegals to demonstrate.
I have to be honest though, because I don't live there anymore I think it is funny as hell. You get what you vote for. Simple as that.

Peace

Greg, it has nothing to do with Bush. In some cases, I agree, bring them in, make them legal, make them pay their taxes, medical, etc themselves, and quite spending so much on fighting them.

That aside, every one of the illegals protesting should be arrested and sent back to whence they came, they are there illegally twice, once on our soils, and once preforming a demonstration without premits (although I don't think permits should be required to deomonstrate peacefully, they are required in the US.).

calvin,
you may want to look up the histories. The protests in the US are, by and large, hispanics. And they do cross over the border. And the US does give in to legal aliens seeking redress from persecution. These, however, are not migrants. It differs complete;y from how the US and SG were founded.

Greg,
we get the same in SG too - we get what we vote for. Our elections will prolly be this year.

Don,
I'm willing to bet that if they were given legitimacy, the US would them have a huge problem re dependencies. PS - permits are required here as well, peacful or no. :)
