WTF - Singapore Democratic Alliance

I'm quite keen to attend a rally.
The opposition party's rally that is.
But you know what?

There's no sign of them online.

How do you expect people to vote for you if we don't know what the hell you're offering? Their tag line, which I saw on the placards at the bus stop, read We're on your side. Holy shit, that's lame. If I vote for you, I damned well expect you to be on my side.

I want to read about your party's manifesto. I want to read what your plans are for my constituency. I want to see profiles of electoral candidates. I want to see your vision and hear your words. I want to feel the passion you should have if you want the power to run my external environment.

The timing is right - people are getting a tad disgruntled, people want change. MM Lee is stuck in the 1970s. Change could be a'coming.

But where the hell are you guys?

hey, chris here. I happened to chance upon ur blog while searching for the website for the SDA. Anyway, i was thinking about the same thing as you. Then this thought came to me - that is, if the opposition is not given the resources to rally, the very fact that they can give out flyers, put up posters and even host the few rallies that they have is in fact, quite remarkable.
Anyway, i think they did quite a fair bit over at my area(Potong Pasir)
Well, thats just my 2cents worth :)

Hullo Chris, you're welcome to comment so long as you're polite about it.

Wilfred here wasn't.

Anyways, congrats on getting Chiam back. I think he's doing a great job all things considered.

PS opposition parties *have* to be allowed to campaign on an equal footing. PAP may be sneaky but they cannot blatantly do things :)
