I was betting on this. That I wouldn't get my disk back. Decided to test.
Went up to LG, fake smile plastered on my face. Asked for my movie disk. Was met by really bad acting.
*smacks his forehead*
Why didn't you remind me? I didn't bring it again! No apology, no embarrasment, no sheepishness, no thing. Just the insinuation that he didn't bring it because I failed to remind him.
I confess I lost my temper. But take pride that I didn't reach out and THUD his fucking loser head. I just told him quietly, but firmly : you took something of mine. I want it back. It ill behooves me to remind you to return my property. Only then did the apology come.
I am not a petty person. But I refuse to be held responsible for someone else's stupidity and irresponsible behaviour. You take, you return - the onus is on you. If you shunt it away, you *will* get the sharp end of my tongue.
I got the promise of tomorrow. We shall see.

You were not being petty. You have more patience then I do. I think I would have hit atleast once just for taking stuff that doesn't belong to him
Peace
Patience? Perhaps. But my respect for him has dropped to *zero*.
He took it - without asking - cut him up with your tongue. He's a thief plain and simple... If he was under 12 years, yeh remind him!
JimBob, alas, he's also a senior staff. I WANTED to cut loose but my reaction was moderate by the fact that he might also be petty enough to ensure a difficult time at work for me :o
