Man, I'm a believer

Off work today. Down with the flu.

Did you know that there are over a hundred strains of the flu virus? Yeah, me too. And I got me one of the weird ones. A fever which lasted about 5-6 hours, then broke. Which is great. A runny nose that blasted like a garden hose, then stopped. Even better. A strained throat which gave me great pain and a sexy voice in the morning, then vanished. By the time I went in to see the docter in the afternoon, I was feeling miles better. Fantastic!

Docter panicked though. Apparently the throat is as red as anything and the antibiotics prescribed will probably wreak my appetite for the next 3 days. But that's not a problem. I could stand to lose more weight. Har har.

The ONLY problem is, this time I've got a backache that won't allow me to sit straight. I usually never have a problem with aches. I hardly get any. But man, this one made me sit all crumpled up like I was an old lady.
I couldn't sit up, couldn't lean back, couldn't bend my head back; tying my hair up was uncomfortable because my raised arms aggravated the strain. You really don't treasure your body until something impacts you enough to notice the daily miracles it waves for you. I can go to work with a fever, but I can't go to work in pain.

Why do I tell you all this? Because I met Bernie for supper.
Why is this important? Because Bernie pactices Quantum Touch.

I am usually fairly skeptical about alternative healing methods. I don't exactly scoff at them, but I won't go out of my way to try'em either. But my shoulders and upper back hurt enough for me to ask Bernie to try this new thing on me. After an hour, my right shoulder feels almost perfectly normal. My left is still uncomfortable, but should go away in about 2 days. I can rotate my head on my neck with not much of a twinge. The absence of pain is always an immense relief, eh?

Bernie's hands felt hot through my TShirt and I knew this channeling thing wasn't a fakery of any sort. Bernie won't do fake things anyways but I'm a stubborn old cow sometimes.

And so. I've experienced this for myself. It's really pretty interesting. I'm not going to rush out and learn this for myself but now I am curious enough to find out more.

Amazing. I should be able to actually get some sleep tonight.

That sounds pretty cool. I'll read up on it.

Feel better!

You gotta get better with those links. I'm too stupid to take the original link, pare off the bad information, recopy/paste it to the browser and look it up.

I believe this: if staring at a rock helps you, good for you. I don't care what it is, help is help, feeling better is feeling better. Me, I'm a skeptic about everything (and I've tried everything) so for me, it's all bullshit and the biggest bullshitters are the "licensed professionals"(doctors).

Rich,
I intend to read up a little more myself :)

Og,
I'm FAR too stupid to remember HTML.

Bernie,
Babes, better is what it is. Thank you!

Paul,
Possibly, but that's not me. I am normally an extremely hard nut to crack. Besides, if I really were that easily influenced, I'd be totally healed, instead of still having an aching left shoulder.....
