Hack hack. Cough cough.

You don't say?

People who develop chronic cough and phlegm are at significantly higher risk of developing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), researchers say.

COPD, the fourth leading cause of death in the United States, is a combination of chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The main cause of COPD is smoking.

We're all going to die anyways. I recommend anything *you* want in moderation. You'll find that docters will tell you - as an open secret - that if you've been smoking for years and you suddenly give it up, iy'll actually hurt you more than if you continue to smoke. And that's exactly what happened to my great aunty Dolly.

Fearsome Eurasian women, full of fire and brimstone, smoked 2 packs a day for her entire life and finally gave it up in her late 60s. Died a few years later. Same with my maternal GrandDad.

Besides.... everyone needs one bad habit to keep'em sane. That's *my* personal philosophy.
