What do you guys think about homeschooling?
Is this something you're comfortable with? Or not? Do you know people who do this? Or people who have strong views against it? What about kids? Do you know kids who are homeschooled? Do they seem intelligent enough? Educated enough?
I never really thought about it.
Singapore's education is fairly thorough. It's the law for children to attend school up until 14, I think. I shall have to look up the statute. I'm not sure. But 99.9% of our children attend primary school at least.
Not that this gives them any sort of edge in to-day's paper qualification driven society..... but it's a start, you know? Perhaps if our schools were really horrible. But no, Singaporean schools in general tend to do fairly well. The basics, at the very least, are ground in.
I dunno. I don't have an opinion on this just yet.

I'm mixed on it.
The social aspects of public school are pretty huge. And I always worry about why people want to homeschool. But it works for many, so who am I to judge?
Hi Rich,
All opinions will be interesting for me because I know the educational system in the USA is not..... standard throughout.
