Saw the movie ads.
Came across this for Black Snake Moan.
Rolled my eyes.
With that kind of title, with THAT kind of posing?
WTF! Sounds like some weird trashy shit to me!
Then I took a closer look. Christina Ricci. WITH Samuel L Jackson. I'd better look this up I thought and off to IMDB I went.
Oh wow.
Every single review I read - and I read about 10 - sang the praises of the 2 leads. About how acting was done well and believably, about a graceful potrayal of 2 struggling people trying to come to terms with personal demons, about life in general "down south". Surprise surprise. To all intents and purposes, it's a fairly well directed film with excellent acting and a serious message. But you should probably read the reviews yourself..... Me? I'll do my own review once I've caught the movie.
Akan datang, the movie opens here next week. :)
