AhHA!

I can't post from work anymore, but this article really caught my eye. Enough to remember to post from home.....

Uncircumcised men receive no more sexual sensation than circumcised men, according to a new study that contradicts the widely held belief.

Researchers from McGill University in Montreal found that circumcised men felt the same amount of sensitivity to touch and pain in various states of sexual arousal as those with foreskins.

"This study suggests that preconceptions of penile sensory differences between circumcised and uncircumcised men may be unfounded," the study's principal author Kimberley Payne said in a release.

The study, published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, looked at a group of 40 men, half of them circumcised. Using sensory testing, the men were monitored at two points on the penis and the forearm while viewing erotic films. Thermal imaging was used to measure sexual arousal.

The effect of circumcision on sexual sensitivity has long been debated and the team hopes its finding will prompt further research on the topic. The practice of circumcision in Canada has been declining over the years and in 2005 only 9.2 percent of male infants were circumcised.

It's a short one, so that's the entire thingie.
But from a woman's perspective? I like men that have had this seen to. They're easier to handle, easier to keep clean, easier to .... erm... play with. *wry grin* Ha!

Honestly though? Preferences in things like this remain unknown. I might make mention of this to someone I'm dating. IF I am asked. But I'll normally keep my trap shut. A man's body is his own and who am I to ask for something like this?

No comparisons. That much I promise you!!

Hell i have been circumcised since I was three days old and I know I have enjoyed plenty of sensation. = )
I know i am am keeping him clean enough 'cause I shower no less then once a day.
So if I am not enjoying the full extent of what God wanted me to experience then I am with the wrong woman.; ).
You know Fiona that anybody is even wasting time or effort on something like this actually makes me want to shoot someone. I think the research money could be used somewhere else.

Peace

I gained considerable sensitivity when I restored my foreskin. It took time and my wife was very supportive - intercourse (in the past) could become painful for my wife due to varying lubrication and I needed a fair amount of stimulation. Since restoring, it is much, much easier to orgasm, the added sensitivity keeps me harder, and sex is more comfortable for my wife. I only wish I had done it long ago.

Greg and Steve,
I find your comments very interesting. And both from opposite points of view.

Thank you for the insights :) Quite obviously, I won't know this from personal experience, not having the necessary equipment!
