I'm still alive

Oh gods, I ate a huge bunch again today.... Who were the culprits?

Off to the Changi Village Hotel after a long spell away. Walked into the cafe to be greeted like an old friend by 2 of the older staff. Where have you been? You no longer like our service? We haven't seen you in so long! hahaha. What a cheap thrill, but it's a thrill nevertheless.

SaltWater, the cafe, still looks nice. But what I enjoy about this hotel is that it looks pretty nice, very clean lines, bodering on zen-like even. But I'll walk in, in my flipflops, and the staff won't bat an eyelid. Some of the overseas staff (like the China born girl who served Bernie one day) are really... just plain dumb. But the local staff? Well done, people!


I always ask for a table on the side. We can look out at the pool that's outside.
Starting off with my soup & salads.....

And finally... the sweetstuff.

You know, not everything get's finished. And considering that this is ALL that I'll have, a buffet dinner is wasted on me. But I've been in my cave, doing the late shifts, and I needed to be out somewhere nice. Gods, I even work makeup. LOL. So it was nice to be out and about!

The food turned out pretty platable this time around. I must say the Chef's a little tempremental... but today was good! With tummy groaning, it was outside for a smoke!

They never used to have this pool... the main one's on the top floor with a great view of Changi beach and all. But I must say... this one's nice too.

GGggrrrrr.... I've forgotten about this.

They served snails today. Appealing to the gourmets in us, I suppose. But URGH.... that thing.... looks.... I made sure I only tried to take this out after we'd completely stopped eating.

Anyways, there we go. Proof I'm still living! Go me!
