woo II

Yes, I couldn't help myself.

See, after the haircut, I was on my way down when I passed by a video store. I can never pass by a bookstore or a video place without a look inside :) Movies and books to me are like shoes and handbags for some women. And I came away with the title
Sunshine. Actually, I also came away with Zodiac and Next but scifi takes priority!

Anyways. Sunshine. I missed it in the movies, and after watching it, I can see why it showed for all of a day, probably.
*rolls eyes*
In a nation where the HK movie reigns supreme, with Korean weepy dramas taking centre spot, this film had great dialouge throughout, intense psych drama, a madman who's been talking to God, and and the only action coming in at the last 15 minutes.

I am throughly impressed, yet again, with Cillian Murphy. Chris Evans wasn't too bad. Actually, the entire case was extremely watchable, right down to Michelle Yeo, she of Malaysian origin and now soon-to-be-wife to the Ferarri boss.

The only weak link - and I mean, laughably weak link - is the mad guy. At one point in the movie, I was thinking how disappointing that this should be the horror that besets the crew. All that build up, all that intense drama, and one terribly thought out bad guy. But hey, even the ending is worthy so all in all, good movie!

woo! I like!
