Starry starry night

Man, I love looking up at the sky....

There's something restful about clouds flitting by during the day. And there's something wonderfully beckoning about the stars at night. But
constellations?

Good grief. I have long thought that the people who thought up the constellations needed their heads checked. Just how do those star alignments represent such images? How did they get picked?

If you're not quite sure what I mean, you should check out
these two sites. You'll see what I mean when you glimpse the diagrams.... They've got the outlines of the figures, superimposed on the actual starfield. Go on, have a look. Then come back and tell me if you think they look the same. lol

Ah well. We're stuck with it now!

JimBob,

I'm thinking of doing that... investing in a pair of binoculars.

But we get awful light pollution in Singapore, and everywhere's built up, so I'm wondering if it'll be worth the cost :o
