lol... ok... not really... but whilst I am afraid of the dark, my two buddies apaprently can't sleep without total darkness.
This is K, preparing to nap. Yes, with his old army blanket. Looking all maiden-like. lol. He's a sweet young man, not even 25 yet. Me and the team leader (we're both 37) are rather fond of him :)
And this is S.
This woman is amazing. She can perch on the office chair and not slip off. She actually slept like that for about an hour. Unbelivable. lol.
None of me. I don't need to cover my face. lol. I'll lie back in my chair, use a second one to prop my feet up on, and nap with a shawl comvering my legs lest I flash my unsuspecting colleagues. Heh.
The interesting thing is all of us develop this tendency to wake up instantly when the phone rings. Yup, even in the throes of nap time. And we sound clear and awake when we take that call. lol. There's only one part time night shift staff that sounds like he's just woken up and he sounds *terrible*. Dozy, sleepy, blur and hesitant. Dude, that's not what they pay us to sound like.
At any rate, the official night shift team is doing well, quality wise... and does the office mind, you say? Well, we're all cameraed up.... and we're used to it. Lookit, I even have one woman who drags out the long sofa cushion from the staff room and sets up her sleeping bad. Yup. Complete with blanket, pillow and sleeping mask.... YES the office knows we nap at work :))
By the way, I'm learning to appreciate really early mornings. This is the view from my elevator lobby after shift ends at 7am.
Like when I'm on holiday, I'll be up at 6+ or 7 just to enjoy the peace and quiet. I'll sleep really early too. lol. I travel alone and I don't do the night life so.... early bedtime!
Don't know for sure if it'll become ingrained habit though.*shrugs*
