Be a man!

Received a call asking for travel insurance.

Ok, it's a normal call at work. But guess what? It was a mother buying travel insurance for her son. Who happens to be MY age. (that's 37, y'all) And it slowly dawned on me that I knew her son from before.

See, when I was in my late teens.... or was it early 20s? I can't remember now.... but I used to have a bunch of friends and we all partied like crazy. We all drove around in the boys cars (or father's cars) and we were a pretty tight bunch. One of the boys had aspirations on being a race driver and he pretty much made it. I think.

He started out on karts and went on to road racing. He came from a pretty wealthy family and he made it as a racer. I had a HUGE crush on him but - long story short - it didn't work out.

Then Ah Lian became a poster boy for Discovery Turbo, a majorly testosterone-driven cable channel for men which features plenty of grease, cars and work/tool/make-overs. Ah Lian was featured in a man's man commericial, flying a microlight. I always wondered what became of him.

Now I know.

He's still jetting around the region but his mommy's buying him his travel insurance.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA.

Good lord. Man can't buy his own travel insurance and he's my age.
*shakes head*


Trust me..... I will wonder about him no more after this! :))
