- RANT ALERT -
I've beaten my own record. I've spent 40+ minutes on a single call.
Somewhere at the start of my shift, it was my sheer bad luck to pick up a call from one Ms Sunshine. That's right. She'd legally changed her name to Sunshine. Oh, my word....
Ms Sunshine is so full of herself and so in love with her own voice that I had to interrupt her. Normally, we do this tactfully because sometimes the way my own compant staff treat our customers is, frankfully, shameful. However, Ms Sunshine has a lot of issues, starting with the fact that she can't take calls during the day. However, her issues can only be resolved by senior officers from the operating department. And honey, no company in the entire fucking world runs it's operations at 11.30PM. If you can't take the call, we can't resolve your problem.
On top of that, Ms Sunshine doesn't need to breathe. She's mastered the art of talking AND breathing at the same time. Circular breathing. woo. So much so that I actually had to cut her off and literally interrupt her by saying "wait, hold on, could you stop a minute?"
She has valid points, I concur. But lookit, the final conversation weighed in at 42 minutes. Shit. I normally handle 10 - 15 customers from 11pm to midnight. Today, courtesy of Ms Sunshine, I handled 6.
*shakes head*
I like my job, I like helping people, but when you.....
- don't have a clear idea of what you want
(you signed insurance policies without asking about your coverage. In addition, you accepted the cetificates of insurance without quibbling! What the fuck is that? Didn't you check? It's now 3 months since!)
- don't have a clear idea of how you want to be treated
(I was forced to sit and listen to your agent for 4 hours! Sorry? Forced? You could have walked away ANYTIME sweetheart. No one is holding your ass down!)
- and ask for very high coverage and expect it be to be approved without a medical
(hello? isn't this logical? don't insurance companies have to do checks?)
.... then perhaps you need to be slapped up behind your head? And a reality check forced upon you? Then again, reality had better be loud. And fast. This woman's a bit of a bimbo.
Heh, I wonder if she's in marketing? In retrospect, she seems to remind me of someone I once worked with!
Natural introvert, learned extrovert.
