I'm breathing a big, big sigh of relief.
My one week break is finally here and I'm really looking forward to it :D It's strange..... just the other day I was wondering why I, the introvert, am working at a call centre. And why I'm so damned good at it.
It's not false modesty either. Every company job I've worked in has had a customer service element and I know customers appreciate me. And I know it's because I listen carefully. If you ever meet me, you'll realise that I pay attention to every word you utter. And I'm good at realising the nuances behind your choice of words too.
I speak like that to people as well, each word carries it's specific meaning, and after about a minute or two, I can tell if we're on the same page or not. Or if you're a blathering idiot who doesn't bother to listen. I guess I'm putting into practice that old adage "do unto others etc".
It's just that I find the irony... well... ironic lol. An introvert who does well at customer service? Ach, at least I'm going off where I won't have to listen now....
Bliss!

To speak with meaning both clear and precise is a wonderful thing...rare too.
Oh my, Thud... absolutely!
My ex-colleague who is a very good and gregarious trainer, is in fact, an introvert. It just means she and you are both very well-developed in your non-preferred traits (ie extroversion), though it may just take more effort or makes you very tired at the end of a workday.
;)
ps: I do enjoy your reading blog, even your rantings, especially because it's very 'you', with none of the white-washing (like on some blogs, which look like some sort of reporting!)
Hi HRH Coco,
Alas, when I set my blog up, it was meant to be a space for me to get all ranty... hence the profile tag "testy" lol I'm really quite polite most of the time :D
Am glad you're enjoying the posts! I do yours, too!
