whoa, that was unexpected

My goodness.

I logged in to my yahoo email account with the intention of sending a test email. But I found an email from an old, old flame.... He's quite lucky, too. The email is dated only 19 July. He didn't have to wait too long lol I typically log into old accounts now only once every few months to clear spam only!

But by golly. An email.

I remember this man very very clearly.... met him online, met IRL for coffee soon after, we bonded, we formed a relationship, , and when he finally left for home on a work assignment, I was heart broken. I even hosted his best friend in Singapore, as they were both in the maritime industry. His best friend even quipped that I was the best thing that ever happened to him. And he was a fool for not taking me home. A comment like that would turn any woman's head, I'd imagine. lol.

Anyways. This man. I have quite a few other memories.... Mostly happy. I don't think we ever fought, not once. We always managed to talk things through. And come to think about it, this one man was the closest I'd ever gotten to having The Perfect One.

Heh, the only thing imperfect was that he had a submissive streak too i.e. he was a genuine switch. I'd have had to learn how to be a Domme. lol But I'd have done that for him. Yes I would.

My, all these years.... and I still remember.

To put things in perspective, our relationship took place when I was still doing event management. And that was in.... erm.... 1998, I think. Oh boy.... minimum 10 years lol.

I replied to his email. I thanked him for his recent picture (he's older, definitely, but the eyes never change :D) And then I asked him point-blank what he wanted. lol. I mean.... c'mon! After all this time?? To email someone out of the blue? Even if he's feeling nostalgic, I want to know!

And so I now await his answer.....

UPDATE 31 July :
It's been an amicable reunion of sorts :) Dude and I are now on FB. And I'm seriously wondering if memories over the years have been glorified. lol. Noooo... not really, we really did have good times then! But people change over the years and I've got this impression that perhaps we may not have endured as we evolved? Oh well, water under the bridge :)

Aw... he added me to his facebook!

Looks like he's happily settled down now. I wonder how much he remembers of me? :D
