I've just caught the third installment of Narnia.
Whoooboy. Catch the 3D version. Please, please do. The Dawn Treader is the most beautifully designed ship I've ever seen on film.
*small sigh*
She's lush, textured, gleaming, and everything I ever imagined would be fit for a King in ye olden days.
This is a picture of the helm; look at all that gorgeous detailing! By golly, she was lovingly created indeed. If you want to view more pictures that were taken during filming, you should pop by NarniaWeb, a pretty well-run fan sight, a peruse their gallery. Amidst the hordes of fan pictures, there are some really well-shot images.
By the way, the 3D merely serves to accentuate the gloriousness :) Yes, there are epic battles. Anyone who's read the Chronicles will know that the Dawn Treader goes through some pretty hairy moments. But it's never really in your face, it's subtle and it's engaging. Loved it to bits!
GGggrrrr.... I want to walk barefoot on her decks now....
