A few days back, the sister and I went out to see what was available re cold weather wear. I mean, I think 16C to 18C sounds wonderful weather during the day, but my clothes aren't meant for climes like that. I need a good coat if I'm going to enjoy myself in Barcelona. Plus, it drops to about 8C at night. Erm. I don't think my sleeping Ts and shorts are going to cut it at night lol
To cut a long story short, we trudged around the shopping mall. My sister enjoys this, I do not. So when we stopped for a very late lunch, I was grateful. I was also very very hungry lol Alas, my bangers and mash weren't good.
See, sausages should be lovingly rolled around on a pan, over a small/med flame, until the skin is slightly charred and about to split. Takes time and needs a few kisses. These? Boiled, and then possible, cursorily, grilled. You can tell. The skin is tight, but the insides are soft. Not cooked, soft; but boiled soft. GGggrrrr.... I don't know how to describe it! But not good. Still, ate'em all though!
Suffice to say that I think sausages need to be a food group in it's own right, and I was disappointed.
And what with the sides we ordered, too full for dessert, dammit.
Antics aren't reserved for me along ... although... The Sister needs to work on technique :D
Trying to suck up the dregs of her malted iced coffee....
Trying to smile like a maniac and looking... quite normal actually lol
But yes, she was too full for dessert too.
By the way. since it's the year of the rabbit coming up, was quite pleased to see that this mall hd aopted for a lucky cat instead. Kitty!
Yup yup. Chinese new year's around the corner. Am wondering if I should get a cheongsum? Haha... every year I think I want to get a cheongsum and I never do. But perhaps this year I shall head down to Chinatown's OG and see if I can get something off the rack. It's traditional as anything and PorPor's favourite store!
Haha... do or die trying!
