I'm all ranty right now....

 - RANT ALERT -


I'm working this sat... my normal shift from 11pm to 7am.


This sat, office is having a departmental retreat at the Singapore Zoo where they'll split staff up into groups and do an Amazing Race type thingie. Staff are meeting at 8am for the trasport.


And guess what? Yours truly has been informed that my attendance is compulsary.


YES, the management know I'm working the night before.
YES, my TL had requested for me to be excused.
NO, they told us that oh, it's only for one day.

So now I have to work overnight and then, instead of going home to rest, I'll have to go to the bloody zoo, run around like a madwomen in some shit race with morons and then get eaten alive by mozzies?

YES I don't give a shit because this is an example of my managers typical behaviour.
NO they do not know how to cultivate staff loyalty.
NO I am not working for them, only for my paycheque and the fact that this office is soooo close to my home.


Am I peeved? Holy crap, people, you bet! You can be sure I'll be visiting my docter to get medical leave for this Sunday.


If you can't support your staff, don't expect your staff to support you!
