Uh oh.

Long day.
For some reason us staff cannot fathom, call volume has been consistantly high. Which is strange, since we're moving in to the school holiday season et all and the end-of-the-year lull period. An easy time is supposed to be had by all.

Off duty at 6.30pm but in the office until about 7+. By which time I decided to have dinner before going home. And after that, since I was out, a movie was in order. I'd already missed
The Prestige and was determined to have my way this evening.

So there I was, sitting right in the front, right in the centre. Surrounded by empty seats in a half desolate cinema theatre. Feet tucked under me, ice cold milo and a bag of cashew nuts in hand. Ah. My favourite! No irritating people around me talking. No kids kicking my chair from behind. No stupid fuckers on cell phones. Sheer BLISS!

Lost in a totally fluffy no-brains C grade movie - C grade for the legions of movie goers but it had magic + hunky boys = activate eyes only, which was what I needed i.e. The Covenent - it was only at the end, after the good guy wins and he drives off in the car, that the brains were activated.

As the hero waved his magic fingers and his car's windscreen magically melded back together again, I thought to myself ahHA! Windscreen damage! OD claim no impact on NCD!

What does that mean?
My company's insurance plans offer $100 windscreen damage excess on Quality plans, which doesn't impact the No Claims Discount on motor insurance premiums, unlike Own Damage and Third Party motor claims.

Been too long on this job, you think?

is a windscreen the same as a windshield? If not, where is it on a car? I've never heard of it, but you're in a different country too, so it might just be regional terminology, kind of like the trunk of a car is the boot in UK.

Ach, Paul.
Singaporean employers tend to like quiet followers, not occasionally loud but consistantly irritated Eurasians. lol.
