Competence + priorities

Wonderful - the dept I am supposed to be transferred into doesn't know how to inform staff about their impending shift.

I wrote about how I was supposed to start with them 1May. But whahey! no word from the buggers. It's been my own dept boss who's kept me in the loop, despite boss' constant reassurances that they would be calling.

And tonight I get a phone call from boss - I start training this Wed. Oh wow. What a reassurance that they want me to join them. But did I hear from them? Why no!

I need to get off my ass and find a proper job. But the market is really shit, employer's are already thinking I'm a little too old at 33, and I'm really enjoying so much time off as a contract employee. (For comparison, I used to pull a 60-70 hour work weeks.) I guess it all boils down to what one wants and I'm kinda stuck right now.
