Just got back from work - as I walked towards the staircase leading up to my apartment, I heard the cawing of crows. Loud and persistant. The closer I walked, the clearer it became that they were agitated.
Now, I'm not a big fan of crows and I'm always a little wary of them and their dive-bombing. But I was curious. And what do you know.
They were dive-bombing this guy. Crows? What crows? I'll have them for lunch!
As I walked up to the grass patch, I saw him sitting down calmly, nary a twitch of a whisker when the crows came at him, cool as you can be. Pity I only caught him as he walked away; the swivelling of his ears was the only indication that he acknowledged the crows. That's nonchalance for you.
Here, in Singapore, a lot of them have ears clipped, a sign they've been caught, neutered, and then released. Unfortunately, a few do escape the catch and release program. And this tom is one of them. But I am thankful that unlike other countries, we don't seem to have large feral cat colonies. The largest I've seen is about 8 cats together, at Pasir Ris Park.
Oh well, big fella, off you go to survey your kingdom.

like yourself, a lot of singaporeans have a hard time putting my all-asian face together with my grammatically-correct language usage.
