I always seem to be tired now.

- RANT ALERT -

Guess what? We're supposed to extract data for about 500,000 customers. And have their details sent across. and the deadline was.... 3 days ago.And since me and my work buddy are handling nothing BUT emailed inquiries, we were deluged with the what-happened-to-my-email emails.

Checked with boss. Oh goodie! 2 departments were having a dispute on what information to publish. But here's the catch - said emails have been sent by automated programme for over half a year now. Any disputes should've been ironed out long ago.

To top it off, no announcement was made about the delay. We weren't even sure things would be sent by this weekend. I had to ask my boss point blank before I was told. Why weren't frontline staff at least informed? So they aren't forced to formulate their own unofficial excuses? Which will then be used against said staff? Yup - happened to me once. Saw it happen to three other people.

Gawddanggit - is this how government works? I used to joke that heck, I'd never worked for govt before and I'd probably die if i did. And I didn't realise how terrible it was. I'm dying now. *wry grin* Like I said to someone over chat..... it's hard for me to sit by, fingers twitching vigourously at their crappy attempts to formulate plans. I want to jump up and shake the. Hard. Smack them around and show'em how it's done by corporate companies. Shovel their faces in their collective bitchiness.
