Being fired for eating 2 slices of pizza is absurd. What kind of management style does a company like that have? What does it say about the colleagues who complain about it?
Found as part of an article on outrageous firings, which lead me to the website SimplyFired. Apparently, the moridly ridiculous firings have been compiled into an archive for people to browse. The story goes that one woman browsed SimplyFired so much that SHE got fired for browsing the internet on company time.
Kind of like the Darwin Awards for idiot bosses. (And workers.)

That sounds like the company I work for. I often wonder why I'm still there after all the people who have been fired for obserd things like clipping there finger nails or using a tissue from someones desk. Hewlett Packard is great if you are one of there own and you don't get laid off but if you work under contract like I do, you could be gone for any reason at any time.
Really? HP SG used to be a client of mine, back when I did event management.... interesting!
