I turned the offer down.
Called guy on Sunday night only to speak to his elderly father. In *mandarin*. That's as powerful as your mastery over Swahili. In the end, I dropped him an email to turn down the offer.
If I were younger, and had less inclination on what I wanted to do, I might have done it. But when you're in your 30s is not a good time to try something new. It might work for someone else, but I know what I'm good at and it is not sales.
Plus, there was something fishy about the terms and conditions. If I were to drive, he'd give me $500 in petrol allowances, no questions asked. But If I don't (and I don't), I cannot claim for taxis. Not justifiable, he says. Which is weird.
Anyways, I dropped him and his secretary an email on Sunday night, I didn't hear from them to-day, so I suppose they'll just have to move on to their next best candidate.
Onwards and upwards for me, though. w00t!
