Aw yeah. Dinner tonight at Charlie's Corner.
Haven't been there in the longest! The guy is an institution. Been around forever. He's got this little nook at the hawker centre in Changi Village which he's converted into a really laid back and casual beer garden / al fresco dining spot. Hamburger steak is to die for (Yum!)and he's got a large imported beer section which sees all the expats in the area flock there on workday evenings.
The man is cool.
At one point in time, he refused to open on the weekends. He'd place this handwritten sign on the shutter that said : CLOSED. GONE FISHING. hahahahaa. The beauty of it was, he really was. Gone fishing. Changi Village is next to Changi beach and some of the sailing clubs and it's .....ah, you know. I've blogged about Changi beach before. My favouritest spot on the entire goddamned island.
Whoohoo!
