Changi Beach

Me and B made plans about 3 weeks ago to meet up to-day (yes, she's a busy busy woman nowadays) and instead of the usual Singaporean penchant for gorging on food, we decided to do something different. Took camera along just for the heck of it. Good call but for some reason the year is stuck at 2004. But you don't mind, really, yes?

Anyways, off to the beach to watch the sun rise. But one thing lead to another and we got to the beach in time to see the sun already risen. Still, managed to get ourselves to Changi Beach and were then greeted by the sight of a mass of tents. Argh.

So we walked all the way out and found this spot. Way cool. This was our view. Early morning sunlight is gorgeous, yes?

Seems pretty tranquil but this is one of the primary waterways into the ports. Lookit this big-assed ship that passed us by. Bugger was empty and riding high on the water. Cool thing was that we could see the props churning as it edged it's way along the coastline.

This is B, by the way, all happy to be out and about. We don't do this catch-the-sun-rise thingie often. (Actually, this was the first time we bloody tried.)

And this is me, all happy to get out of the sun, after being burnt to a crisp. Heh. By this time, we'd been at the beach for about 6 hours and I was happy to escape to the Changi Meridien lobby lounge with a tall cool iced mocha.
