Sick

I hate being sick. Oh, it's nothing serious, just the flu. But when I do fall ill, my body seems to try and make up for lost time.

Spent yesterday curled up; the body ache was so bad, it took me about 10 seconds to just sit up. Yeah, I know how it is now to feel like an 80 year old. I have never creaked until now. Creaked, I tell you. Holy shit.

My nose has begun to peel, because it's been abraded by the tissuepaper so often. I have given up on normal tissuepaper because it's so thin. I am on toilet paper rolls, which are equally soft but tougher. All the better to soak up the.... well..... you get the idea. Oh, and I am up to one roll a day.

Not forgetting the wonderful, wonderful phlegm. Oh wonderous change of colours! Alas, with a gross GROSS taste on my tongue everytime I hack a globule up.

The fever? The fever I can handle. The fever chills, however, suck ass.

Back to work tomorrow, after 2 days of medical leave. Office thinks it's great when staff are sick but still come in so that manpower planning is not affect. Affected, my ass. More like INfected. With so many people in such an enclosed space, the bug jumps from one person to another. I've managed to stay healthy even though there were staff hacking their lungs out from the beginning of the year until now. But alas, my body succumbed. Eventually.


Maybe I should save up all hackings for one large one in front of a manager tomorrow.
