WTF moment - woolen car.

Someone, please, tell me this is a joke.

As a university graduate, this woman knitted herself a mock-up of a Ferrari. But this is for a degree? WTF? A gigantic wollen car qualifies as graduate work? And get this :

Art graduate Lauren Porter knitted a Ferrari sportscar for her honours degree at Bath Spa University. The classic red bodywork consists of 250 squares of garter stitch made by Lauren and 20 family members and friends. The windows are V-shaped stocking stitch, while the details are crochet and the badge is embroidered. It's all supported by a steel frame which Lauren, 22, of Greatham, Hants, welded herself.

So. How does she find work later one? What qualifies as work? Sometimes, I swear, the things people actually do seem truly frivolous and just so inane. Gah.


I'm at a loss for words.
