I'm feeling testy

I am reminded

- by the sheer lack of internet access
- by the sheer drudge-like slowness of what little access I do have

that Singapore ISPs may offer whatever fantastic plans they want on cable, broadband and ADSL but if you have only ONE FRICKIN' PIPELINE out of Singapore, then we're all down to a snail's pace and it matters not what plan you're on. So because of the Taiwan earthquake, we're crawling down here. Crawling, I'm telling you.

Actually, there was a lively local debate some time back on this, on this singular main pipeline, on ISPs making fake promises on lightning speed available and of customers who - truely - don't have much of a choice. *shrugs* oh well.


Dammit, I'm being deprived though.
