I wasn't kidding when I said it was a restful holiday.
Awaken, coffee, then straight into the pool as we tried to decide what to do. We were contemplating the sea kayaks and the limestones cliffs that make Phuket famous. However, we decided over that and went with ATVs instead. So off to Kinnaree we went.
Hubba hubba. All Terrain Vehicles. Dirt track. Wild bumpy rides. My little adventure-wannabe heart was racing.
Bernie, bless her, admitted later that she was quite worried about the ATV rides but she hid it well. She took off like a trooper and after a couple of false starts from both of us, we were off racing!
Here we are, grinning like anything after our rides!
To add to the treat, they had a shooting range. I jumped at that! I used to go to an air rifle cum archery range and it was a hobby I quite liked until the range shut down so this was an opportunity not to be missed!
Ok, so the afternoon wasn't all THAT restful but it was fun nevertheless!
Back, pool, long bath (mmmmmmm) and then Steve took us to a family owned place that served fantastic local seafood. No pics, sorry, but it truly was quiet conversation. We got to know Steve a little bit more and then back home to watch - haha - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory>. Amazing. All the way to Phuket and we watch a movie.
But you know what? I didn't care. I loved it. A home away from home. New environment, new place, new people, new food BUT still comfy enough to kick up my heels and left my guard down.
So how's that for fantastic? :)

After seeing you and Bernie with the 'devices', I can see why you posted that link to the Finnish farmer guy... ;-) ;-)
JimBob,
Everytime I see that pic of myself grinning like a madman with the rifle, I laugh.
I look like a kid in a gigantic candystore!! Glee is the only word that comes to mind!
